Odenton's Babington Green

The Greater Odenton Improvement Association, Inc. (GOIA) and the Friends of Anne Arundel County Trails (both volunteer organizations) are working with the Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks to develop a pocket park at the crossroads of Odenton Road and Piney Orchard Parkway. The park site has been named Odenton’s Babington Green, in honor of Leo Babington, who enhanced the green spaces of Odenton for many years. Native trees, shrubs and flowers will transform the empty lot into a park. Pathways will lead to the gazebo, benches and bike rack. This project is a wonderful example of a community working together to preserve our green space, improve our air quality and caring for our watersheds. When the park is finished, it will provide a beautiful resting spot for those individuals using the WB&A trail or for those that are just looking for a place to relax. For more about Odenton's Babington Green:

Update: Brush clearing has begun for the South Shore trail from Odenton to Annapolis. The work is taking place east of Sappington Station Road.
